Selah, Washington – New park entrance

For our Mitchell’s Day service, we started work on developing a park out of a five acre parcel donated to the city. The plan is for churches, boy scouts, student groups, and others to donate the manpower to complete this park in two to three years. The park is to be named “Volunteer Park.”  The LDS church organized the project we did on Saturday, which was to work on the entrance to the park.  We cleared weeds, and the kids enjoyed grouting the cement work for the future sign.  We will be sure to be involved in future projects for this park. We definitely will be there on next year’s Mitchell’s Day. Fundraising efforts will be started this fall and winter.

KIMA news picked up the story.  Here is the link:  http://kidkbim.s3.amazonaws.com/kepr1830-1347766430.smi.mp4
